Hack the MacAddict CD Contest in 5 Minutes

Well you have got the Mac Addict CD and you want to enter thier contest with the puzzle that scrambles all up and you gotta spend your valuable time clicking and dragging to figure the darn thing out.  You've got better things to do right?  Well we tell you how to hack it in only 5 minutes. 
Get the answer and goto the web page and enter the contest, cross your
fingers and hope to win.

In this edition of This Old Hacker we are going 
to rip apart the MacAddict CD and really make 
that wimp Wade cry.  Why is he going to cry? ◊
Well, we figured out a easy way to crack 
his puzzle on the MacAddict CD and we would 
like to tell everyone.

Start out by grabbing a MacAddict CD.  Then 
hop on the internet and grab a copy of 
FileBuddy.  In FileBuddy, goto the menu and 
select "List" then select "New List Window"  
Now drag the MacAddict CD on your desktop 
to the list window in FileBuddy.  The entire 
contents of the MacAddict CD should appear 
in the window.  

And look at that....theres a cute little directory called "Media" Hmmmm...you say to yourself, i dont remember any folder on the MacAddict CD being called "Media"  Thats because Wade didnt want us to see it because its got all kinds of goodies in it.

Now click the "Media" folder and then press the 5th button in the top of the window.  Its called "File Buddy Info" and looks like a FileBuddy logo.  You will then come to the next screen.  (featured below)

It has a little check box called invisible.  Yep, that little sneak Wade was hiding it from us.  Uncheck that box then press "Save".

Now grab a copy of Macromedia Director 6 and start a new untitled file.  It should automatically open a new file when you start up director.  Then under the "File" menu, select "Import" and this will bring you to the screen featured below.

Now you can click "Add All" if you want to hack around with thier entire presentation or just highlight "Contest.dxr" and press "Add".  After you do that press the "Import" button to complete.  

Well now your "Internal Cast" window is full of all kinds of goodies.  The only one you want is the one labled "Contest".  Click "Contest" and drag it to the white space in the background, and then press the play button in the control panel window or just pick it in the menu up top.  

It will reveal what you have been waiting for.  That darn code.  Below is the code for the April and May edition of the MacAddict CD.

Hope you enjoyed this little tutorial.  In my opinion this is the greatest hack of the MacAddict CDs.  I laughed so hard when I found out how easy it was.  This also works with all previous MacAddict issues, have fun.  I bet the guys at MacAddict feel pretty stupid right about now, seeing that thier contest was so easy to hack.  Haha.  But then again, anything is hackable.
